KALOORUP ROAD # 2 TESTING CONTINUES
Phase two of Westralian Gas and Power Limiteds (ASX:WGP) Kaloorup #2 well has
now been completed with the testing of the zone of interest over the interval of 327.7m
to 334m.
Samples of the fluids have been sent to the Amdel Laboratory for testing to identify
anomalies noted during the dewatering of the zone. The results will dictate the next
phase of the testing program which will commence following the Easter break.
SHALE GAS
WGP is well positioned to capitalise on the new shale gas activity in the Perth Basin.,
AWE, WGPs new joint venture partner in EP-455, is testing for the shale gas potential
of the Woodada deep well in the nearby permit.
WGP is preparing a seismic program for its 100 per cent owned permit DR-11 adjacent
to EP-455 to target shale gas drill sites.
The company will target shales up to 300 metres thick. With existing infrastructure
pipelines in place, WGP will be looking to supply the strong Perth domestic gas
market.
