    yes Geothermals are speculative, but obviously interesting and have the potential for good trades if you ride enthusiastic waves.
    I must dispute your claim about fracturing Granite being unproven.
    GDY have done it very successfully, as demonstrated by the geophone listening to determine the extent of the zone and subsequently by the flow tests. I would say it is proven.

    Fracturing of sedimentary rocks is a well established technology, and I draw on my experience as a geologist and drilling specialist working in the oil field for some 30 years. I've seen fraccing with polymer and fibre fluids, and jobs with and without proppants, acid stimulation etc. One thing is for sure you don't know how a rock will fracture until you have a sample in you beefy little hands.
    PTR have not drilled that deep yet, and until they do, they can not determine how successfully it will frac.
    They mutter about response to stimulation and guess that it is superior, but until they drill into it, test it and frac it, it is all a bit speculative.
    GDY have at least demonstrated that they can frac their granites successfully.
