I don't dispute most of what you say, and respect your geological knowledge of which I have none.
I think however if GDY has proven one thing, it is just how difficult and expensive drilling to 5km, into solid granite and fracturing that granite to create a reservoir is. There is still a long way to go before they demonstrate that that can be economically viable for base load power (their goal).
PTR howver has much lower hurdles with a high value off grid market, and less depth and pressure to contend with whatever technical solution they end up with (if there is one).
Also worth noting that PTR has some permits adjacent to GDY's - covering the option of GDY success?
Of more immediate interest for PTR is the very low technical risk Madrid project.
