Gotta agree with you on this one, my impression was the same. EXU built up a fantastic relationship with the community and had planned to build a plant and employ locals. They even had community BBQ's.
Then RMS came along during the takeover and showed nothing but disdain (gotta break those eggs to make an omelette) and ruined any good will there was. After acquiring EXU, I believe they skewed the data to favor the trucking option because the mill at EM needed to be fed.
Can't say I'm not happy with the overall performance from RMS and the team, but it's possible they could have handled things better in regards to EXU and we could all be better off for it. I imagine a lesson has been learnt here, seeing how well the subsequent SPX takeover was managed.
