Tangs, again, you need to check your information source. There is no right of access to freehold land unless it is signed over by the owner. The top 30m is not included in any exploration title, unless the owner grants a section 29 consent. None. It's a veto right to access. Technically access could be granted underground from adjoining land, but in practice the landowner HAS TO GIVE CONSENT for even initial exploration. This is required before any exploration at all is approved by the dept, so the landowners on all the land which has been drilled to date must have given this consent. Of course, they probably gave it to Explaurum, who they trusted, and ended up with Ramelius.

This is the basis of my concern. Not specifically at Tampia. The way they treat the freehold owners there will ripple throughout the wheatbelt. If farmers cannot trust that signing a section 29 won't end up with them being screwed over, they won't sign them, and no one will get to do anything.

The 10% JV partner will have their own documents and agreements, but I'm guessing if RMS treat the farmers badly, they probably play the "might is right" card with everyone else as well. This is what needs to change. Size and "rights' are irrelevant now if you don't have a social license to operate (just ask Rio). The mining industry, quite rightly, had an appalling reputation regarding landowners. It has taken us decades to get some level of trust into this industry, and I REALLY don't want to see anyone squander that. Like REALLY REALLY.
