A really prescient article from a "bull-bear" who has summed up the future for QBE in a factual, balanced manner. It's all about rates, the fact that 2011 really was one out of the box, and the fact that if interest rates really do blow out, it will be great news for QBE, but will not be such great news for the US govt. and anyone else who is laden with debt. This needs to be carefully managed as the patients are morbidly obese, don't knock the weight off too fast or any nascent recovery will be cut off at the knees. We live in interesting times.
