Current government thinking is to spend our
money off shore whenever possible.
This is dumb.
Doing stuff here means employees and private
businesses paying taxes. The wages and profits
filter through the economy (multiplier) with
taxes being paid at each step. A lot of the
money winds up back in the treasury.
Money spent off shore just gives foreigners
our money to spend.
