Well GPT did put the resolution to the shareholders at the very recent AGM - and we (the shareholders) overwhelmingly supported it - so what exactly are you blaming GPT for?
I believe the consolidation returns simplicity to GPT. As a holder before the doubling and redoubling of units, I am happy to be holding less than 1m shares now :) I would have said that doubling and redoubling the number of securities I held was the confusing bit - not returning it to the original (and more significant!) number :)
