I agree on this, my Uranium play is certainly long term. I always think about a long term holding prior to deploying and the short term risk assosiated with it.
Fors boss specifically before I brought across 3 Tranches (Average is now 2 bucks) I looked ahead at possibilities. In the short term 6-18 months, I didn't price in any huge upside...if any. When I stretch out 18-36 months I believe/expect based on valuations and back of the envelope scenarios an increase and reasonable rate of return...However when I look beyond 5 years the chances of Risk/Rewars are a lot more asymetric to me, I believe the reward far out weighs the "New lower 52w lows" for a specific time.
When I deploy I don't have a stop loss or any concept of get out now. Patient long term holdings needs to be patient...I dont think in 17 years of investing any of my Multibaggers or compounders didn't dip at one stage. Nothing I have ever brought was a straight green line.
I want the overall holding period to provide a certain double digit CAGR that smoothens out highs and lows.
Coming back to Boss. It's a matter of time, not IF, Uranium is important as a long term energy solution/play, and it will be rewarded by holding the best in class in a sector.
Patient capital is putting say $100k in an idea that over a holding period of longer than 5 or so years, can compound at CAGR off 20% ... doesn't mean every year is going to be green and up to the right. If Boss moves to $4 in 2 years or 3 years then CAGR achieved and that price rerate is not out of the question at all.
In saying that I am also looking at Lotus, Silex (Uranium Exposure) , Paladin, Yellow...as they all are being smashed also.
