thats my best guess. sentiment currently very low (and yet everything has exceeded expectations thus far). ok maybe not the perf rights.....
which is why, although already up to my eyeballs in this, i recently topped up three times between 7.3 and 7.0.
whatever happens, its not binary. worst case is we get some bad news (images of monty python's "its only a flesh wound" skit spring to mind) and cop a shellacking. in that case they go into the bottom drawer until the next bit of excitement comes along. unfortunately, not everyone is in a position to wait however, doggo running low or whatever.....
i also feel that this pe situation is not going to drag on much longer. its not in any of the JV partner's or the Senegalese Govt's interests for it to do so.

separately, there have been a number of posts regarding takeovers and that management wont accept a lowball offer but its not up to management its up to the shareholders. perhaps someone who knows how these things work in practice could start a separate thread on that topic and summarise? much appreciated in advance if anyone has the time, competence and inclination.
