The funding would have been ideal obviously, but it was pulled on Monday. With more warning alternative banks may have been found.

Given this scenario I think you fail to realise what would have happened to the share price had the announcement been made that the mine development had to halt until another financier was found. We would be in the 50s, or worse, not the 70s. The new financier would also have us by the balls and could demand, and get, whatever costs/interest/hedges were demanded.

With backs against the wall in an extremely volatile and risky environment this was about a good a solution as could be expected. No one thinks it's great being in this situation, but considering this kind of thing can implode a company i am thankful for the rescue.
