    Nope. Tin is ubiquitous in all electronics...every circuit board in every mobile phone, EV, internet-of-things device, solar panel etc. is going to need tin as a solder (lead-free is the way to go now and into the future). As the middle class develops in China, India and other developing countries, the demand for these electronics is increasing sharply.

    And here's something not many people have considered. Up until very recently, the miniaturisation of circuitry has offset the uptake of more tin/less lead in electronics. Meaning, even though more boards are using tin instead of lead, the miniaturisation of those boards meant that less total tin was required.

    But guess what? That process of miniaturisation is now finished. As with CPUs, there is a finite limit as to how small electronic circuitry can get...and we've reached it. That means that, from now on, the rapid increase in the number of electronic items in the world (which no forecaster disputes) will track directly with the demand for more tin!

    This is literally the first time in history that this has happened.
