I've got a soft spot for Phillips. In the late 60s I had a Phillips 66 fuel franchise (no relation). I spent a lot of effort building up a good trade, usually by discounting price to rural customers with the help of the company that was trying to break into the Aussie market. My main local opposition was Golden Fleece. Then Golden Fleece took over Phillips Australia. Golden Fleece stopped my discount price but continued to support the Agent that was the original distributor.
Maybe this is Karma helping me get back the old "Phillips" loss with a new "Phillips" gain.
