    I think geothermal in Australia still has a long way to go before it convinces government and investors that the technology risk is acceptable. I can't see it being anywhere near cost-competitive with coal (or hydro) except with high levels of taxpayer subsidy, and that won't happen until the carbon tax funds start flowing. Unfortunately GDY still appears to be main source of hope at the moment. Looks to me like PTR is following GER into shorter-term, less risky renewable technologies..
