Compare this to the USA.
Recently the shale oil company Whiting did a surprise share offering of 35 million shares at $30 each. Trading in that stock was continuous, not even stopped for a day.
Still, a billion dollar is a lot more than what Cudeco is going for.
I'm curious if halting a stock like this would be allowed on the Hong Kong stock exchange.
