Or call it a prodrome of a headache.
This is only the demerger scheme.
For simplicity,assume I hold 100k SER shares,what do I get after the demerger.
1. 100k SER shares ( SER's SP will drop post demerger to around 2c)
2. 20k shares in Tarcoola ( because SER will hold 20%)
These shares will have no market & will have zero value untill the transfere scheme is implemented.
3. No CGT for aquiring Tarcoola shares (but there will be CGT liability if & when they are sold as Mega shares)
4. I can sell my SER shares post demerger to realize a capital loss & buy it again if I am keen on SER's other assets.
5. A four letter word from my accountant.
