Mike Baird, is sticking to the Mel failed to consult with the community, so that he and his State Govt, does not look stupid and incompetent. As if Mel, could afford being sloppy with their work, when every move they make is scrutinized. That is why I could not understand, Mels suspension, on failing to consult with the community. If anything, due to growing opposition, in the NR, they would have put in an even greater effort.
The community had no issues with Mel, drilling 50 wells and being in the NR for 10 years, until The Greens and LTG, started their anti-CSG campaign. The Rosella well was not even CSG but conventional, but they lied to the community saying that it was CSG.
Why has the State Govt not taken this into consideration, as well as looking at QLD, which has an established CSG industry, running on 90% CSG, for energy? You, never see any negative news in the media, re QLD, CSG industry. As LTG founder, said we were too late to campaign, in QLD, so they were successful, in NSW, because of ongoing red tape and moratoriums, the CSG industry, in NSW, is still in its infancy, with no end in sight.
