Measures are being put in place to protect the Census site against cyber attacks before it comes on line again.
Personally i enjoy the convenience of using on-line services provided by banks, relaters and so on.
I am in favour of the Australian Government also moving to on-line service provision.
I just wish thy would do a better job of it.
Perhaps most of the talented IT people are working for Google, Amazon, Akamai, etal, leaving us with the dregs.
With regard to the Census site it's very disappointing that those responsible for it didn't do a better job.
Not forgetting that multi millions of dollars need to be spent on modernising the Government computer services that handle Human Services.
