Yo Fursty and Seekinfo. mates. Im just back from the pub and Im gonna have a rant at you - but it's not personal. You like so many on this platform talk endlessly of "pump and dumps". I've been playing in markets for 35 years at the junior end- mainly in ASX - and I've made a lot of money at it, but I still have yet to see how the hell anyone (person or group) can make a stock move up by selling more than they buy.? (as in pump and dump ?)
And this goes to all readers on HC. "pump and dump" is a nonsense comment so commonly used but IMO its just a figment of inexperienced people's imagination. Many years ago in my early 20's we tried some "pump and dumps" - we thought we were clever and it was exciting. But if there was nothing behind the stock re fundamentals -we always ended up owning more shares than when we started in a piece of crap stock. It doesn't work. You simply cant short term pump and dump effectively as far as I have learned in my long experience. Plus Ive seen others try to the same effect- always. So i gave that up about 25 years ago.
I guarantee that all those who talk of "a pump and dump" have never tried to run one. Have you ever tried to buy up loads of a stock and move a whole market and also then hope to sell them all higher up before the market falls?- and on no basis of reality? I'll bet you guys haven't. Take some advice. It not possible- or almost impossible. Every time I have seen anyone attempt it its a failure.
I reiterate - it's just not possible to move a stock up by net selling more of it - Unless of course there are fundamentals behind the story. Trust me on that All this pump and dump talk so common amongst posters on HC is absolute nonsense written by people who have never tried it and don't know what they are talking about.
But guys, what does work is this- you find a crapped out or undervalued stock with good potential. You work hard to fix the issues with it, or find a new project, you fund its development, you get out and promote its possibilities and you find and encourage good management to do their stuff. Then the real value rises. Then the market pays more for it than when you first bought it. This process takes a year or more, sometimes much longer. It's hard to short cut the process but if you choose the right stock and you do it right - and you do it with integrity you - and all those who follow you - can end up making 10x your and their money. And that's a good positive thing. That creates wealth from nothing - and everyone wins.
IMO This stock is one of those opportunities. It will be an amazing thing if /when it gets done. And my friends, it really doesn't help to get the project done when crass people make shallow uninformed comments about "pump and dump "without knowing what the hell they are really talking about. That creates nothing positive - its just negative and gets nobody anywhere great in this world.
will we lose in this exercise ?- yes that possibility is there- its there in every business whether start-ups (more chance) or established businesses (lesser chance). However if you buy great assets at ridiculously cheap prices , (like this stock) your upside massively outweighs your downside. That's what we do. Thats what opportunity we see here. And good stuff happens if it works.
Furtsy I do take my hat off to you for being a long term holder and a believer in this project and its possibilities. you know what's possible here. But your frustrated by the slow pace. And you are an owner of the company. As owners lets get together and help get this project done and make money. And help Eritrea and help Africa turn into a bread basket....and help our own bank accounts my friend. They are all up the same alley, not mutually exclusive.
So please guys, stop making crass negative off-the-cuff comments about "pump and dump"and get onside and let's get this done and make it succeed. Thats what we are trying to do now. because IMO Its better than sitting like a frustrated deer in the headlights in a falling stock with the management spending 13 million a year (much on salaries) and not progressing much right?
Sorry for the rant Fursty - it's absolutely not personal against you. indeed I salute you for being a long term holder, its too all posters on HC who continually make crass comments about "pump and dump" having never tried it - It doesn't work, - creating progress and good companies works. It's late and I'm just back from the pub -but all I say here I mean.
