I have been thru a separation. My oldest is from that relationship, we see him every 2 weeks. Whilst painful and bitter at the time, you just gotta get on with things for the sake and love of your child.
I had an abusive upbringing (and have recently been screwed over significantly by ANZ/Opes Prime - barely worth mentioning in this context) but I will never understand how one is driven to this point where children are harmed.
