The Japs recycle pretty well everything, very little goes in to landfill. Even refrigerators are returned for recycling at a small cost to the consumer.
This country is lazy...we could do a whole lot better but too few are prepared to make the effort..,.a disposable society.
I live in a Town house and we have 4 recycle bins used by the residents. I usually when putting my recycle stuff in to the bin find totally unsuitable crap in the recycle bin, and thats besides bottles and cartons with the lids still attached.
I'd like to see those plastic baby nappy things banned...thousands upon thousands in to the land fill every year. That alone could be stopped almost over night by going back to cloth nappies that were washed. Forget the "convenience"...
That will never happen...the inner city latte set wouldn't want to take home a dirty nappy now would they...no siree, they'd rather chuck the filthy things in the bin then join the chorus of losers marching to stop "global warming"...
The vast majority of us here would recall the good ole nappy bucket in the laundry soaking the soiled nappies before they went in to the wash...and taking the spare nappies with us when we went out anywhere just to bring home the dirtied ones.
