Cant believe I was actually phoned by a TGZ representative today to discuss whether or not I had received the voting proxy form, and asking whether or not I was intending to support the position recommended by the TGZ Board!
I indicated that if TGZ (and to a lesser extent MDL) had focussed the same level of care and attention devoted to this process in preparing their businesses for the mining downturn the businesses and their wider shareholding would likely all be far better off.
The distraction and expense of this process is actually quite disgusting. I can't help but think the focus is very much internal, rather than external...something that is accurately depicted in the SP of both organisations.
Not impressed.
