Sort of. I own them, but what I expect from my CEU investment (as with my other infrastructure investments) is cash flow.
CEU will deliver that, and the market will price CEU as an inflation indexed bond.
These are not growth stocks, but not all stocks have to be growth stocks. The idea is to progressivelly divert cash generated from your cashflow stocks to fund investments into growth stocks. That seems to be a good mix which has worked for me long-term.
(As an aside, apparently Buffett is on the lookut for infrastructure type investments. He has taken this approach to ridiculous extremes. He has said that he would never sell an unexciting mature business, as long as it earned its keep and generated cash to fund his glamour investments)
