You're quite right b.p. But ERJ were always planning on financing the deal, with the customer paying for the power generated. That was how the Carnavon deal was set up, and how they have said that the NST deal will be done. Don't worry about frosty and his libellous comments, I'm sure that NST's Diesels are as clean as they come. But the problem is that NST and SFR are not interested in green energy per se - they just want cheap energy. Cheaper than they are paying for it at the moment. Sure, if they go ahead, as SFR have done with a $40m PV/Battery system (financed by the supplier), they'll be trumpeting their green credentials. But the decision to go ahead is based purely on profit.
And the lower the Diesel price, the lower the profit (or the greater the loss) to ERJ. You get it ok, b.p.
