Compare the respective brines and ask yourself what impact that might have.
If you take two equal sized buckets of water and put 3 cups of salt in one and 2 cups in the other and then evaporate the buckets, you end up with 3 cups of salt in one and 2 in the other. That, in a nutshell, is Lake Disappointment versus the other hopefuls.
If you appreciate this then you can start to think about capex for ponds, volumes to pump etc to achieve equivalent outputs.
Clearly there is more to a project than just the brine concentrations but the brine is the resource.
There is nothing wrong with MacKay.
