I don't think your missing anything. All points are valid, however, the project started out as a alternative to Chinese supply and then due to financial pressures they opened the doors to the Chinese. Without significant off takes from non Chinese buyers, it won't get the momentum from the market. As a long term holder, I am hoping they can get the offtakes, or this could just vanish without funding. As comments before, the long term holders are indeed weary and may not be up for a further dilution.
