Capturing the difference between a significant discount to NTA and whatever the next cycle gives (be it NTA, a premium to NTA or just a smaller discount to NTA) is an opportunity that you can get with an LIC but not an ETF.
The ’art’ comes in assessing when the discount is around its maximum.
