In fact, now that I've checked, the day ended really strangely. At 4pm the last transaction went through at 2.09, followed immediately before the close by a suddenly large sell order at 2.07 that got snapped up in the adjustment phase after market close. I thought I'd missed out when the market closed, only to see that I hadn't. Getting it at 2.07 was a pleasant surprise.
Who would put a large sale like that at such a discount to the closing price? Why? ... confused ...
