Re Bots,
I have downloaded the transactions for most days trading from 21/1/10 to 12/2/10 - a total of 10.089 transactions.
Below are the transaction sizes sorted in decreasing number of transactions.
I was trying to see whether there was any pattern and if so whether it would help provide an understanding of how the bots work.
The immediate pattern is the preponderance of Prime Numbers. I suspect that this enables the Bot overseer to identify their particular trades.
I would suggest that there is at least one Bot I would call the "Prime Number" Bot.
That is his signature - does anyone know who he is?
There may be other BOTs operating - eg 154, 210, 287 occur commonly. Does he use 1 identifier when selling down and another when ramping up??
I think the "Prime Number" bot has been primarily sell short to push the price down , then buy around $2-03, then reverse the approach to buy and push the price up by small transactions then once reached $2-08 or $2-10 depending on the number of other sellers - then sell the same day for a profit.
I aso think that they load up the sell or buy side to suit their purposes,
Interesting,
Any comments??
Regards
