GE’s 1st Quarter ends March 31, chances are excellent that GE will want terms for Paducah finalized prior to Quarter’s end, enabling them (GE) to include said event in their 1st Quarter Report. As we know, the Paducah contract represents billions of dollars of business to and for GE and as an aside, hundreds of millions of dollars to Silex. While this contract is not considered large by/from GE's perspective, it will certainly look good in their Financial Report.
Additionally, this year in the US, we will have elections for the United States Senate and House of Representatives; we will also have state governor elections*. I believe the preceding is one of the reasons for the active participation of politicians in beseeching the DoE to hasten decisions and contract talks for the Paducah Facility’s depleted uranium tails inventories.
*High profile actions required, providing proof of elected officials concern for and support of the populace (voters).
