I really have to ask whether some Muslims are unable to comprehend reality or are just less than average intelligence.

So far nearly every parent of Muslim offspring who does something wrong claims they have been brainwashed. Do these people not see that it is their own actions of indoctrinating their children that has brainwashed them. These kids are educated in the teachings of the Qur'an from very young, learned off by heart to recite it. They live and breath Islam and these parent blame everyone else when Islam takes their children.
