Goodwill is not like a gold cube of Mr. Warren Buffet that doesn't earn you anything and looks pretty.
It takes years of hard work and dedication to get it. Once you have it you save on advertisement cost and receive new business just based on the goodwill. I am sure over the years all extra money paid will look very small.
I think SGS acquisition compliments SGH and in the long run turn out to be the dark horse
