of course everyone has different needs from a car, ute of cruiser.
I still maintain my old VW transporter ute (diesel) because its just so reliable. an EV one day will replace the old beast but while it keeps plugging along, it doesn't need to go fast, its a work ute. a real one. nothing fancy, but very basic. it suits my needs to the T.
I'm not impressed with the Li batteries. not th scaremongering nonsense about fires - they're safer than many older vehicles.... remember the old VW kombis? I've seen so many at the side of the road on fire. but the current batteries are not sufficiently energy dense. they are the first generation of EV batteries. the next gen will be a massive improvement imo.
