Option holders dont get a vote, as most meetings you know that only shareholders are able to vote if they bother too.

If you convert your options, just to vote on the meeting and it turns out that Linc acquires SPX. Then unfortunately for you, you would have diluted your profits as the optionholders have a better deal then the shareholders.
