the reports coming out of the US are that this will happen in some shape or form and that frankly, this has to happen.
By all accounts it could all, and probably will all backfire in some way down teh track but it will lesses and delay the rest of the nightmare. Wether thats a good thing or not remains to be seen.
I believe the senators at present are simply arguing about the best way to bring the debt onto the US public.
