''Theres quite alot of competitors out there'' There are competitors but i would characterise it as 'quite a lot'. Others posted the view that competitors validates that this is an area worth being in and there is potentially a real market need, which i agree with.
''Is HMD still a company with good potential?'' Yes huge potential. Basically an untapped market so large that its not worth trying to assess a total addressable market. High margin SaaS type business that should be very 'sticky' with customers once on boarded. Its why i keeping holding. BUT...you probably mean per your title: what is the likelihood of the company fulfilling on this potential? To that i say as at today its appears less than it was some 8 months ago when HMD had just freshly signed a deal with Joondalup and it seemed (to me) to just be a matter of time before Mednax finished their pilot and signed an agreement. So a failure to thrive since then. It seems that HMD success hinges on a In Stealth startup which publicly very little is known. Not a particularly comfortable spot to be for an investor. Personally if i want already a holder i would not buy into HMD at this time.
That said, i still hold the same amount
In the medium term (6 months) i need to see:
The e-lovu deal resolving as actual revenue in Q1 2023;
Joondalup revenue showing up this quarter (if not WTF), and them at least extending their current (less than ideal) terms come Q1 2023;
sign a new customer to a pilot. HMD has talked of a pipeline for a long time and i am calling BS. Now that they have employed someone specifically to find customer opportunities in Australia its 'show me the money' time.
