By 'wierd' do you mean the buys placed higher than the last sp move and the sells placed lower than the last sp move? If so, this is for the matching auction period just after 10 00 am and between 4.00 and 4 10 pm. If this is what you mean ph commsec and ask how it works. They are usually helpful.
It enables buyers and sellers to jockey for position and get ahead of the pack so to speak. I have heard some people only buy and sell during this auction period. Hope this helps a bit.
