Well getting Telstra on board was supposed to make the transition from copper to fibre more economical.
IMHO if Gillard and co can sort out an amicable agreement with the miners and the amount of RSPT they would be comfortable paying then Labor have a chance of being re-elected and the NBN being rolled out over the next 20 years.
