Anything is possible, but the searches actually started about a week before the Eva announcement. Considering ASX reporting requirements it'd be an awfully bad look if that many folks were looking up Talga because of Eva well before the news was public (or potentially finalised). It doesn't track with other announcements either.
The point remains, however, that there could be numerous reasons for the spike in search traffic. One of them is that the clerks and justices at the supreme court are considering the appeal now. I wouldn't bet on it, but it wouldn't surprise me either.
