Lonestar have acreage in Wilson County (3000 net acres), which is the North-West neighbour of Karnes County, where the Sugarloaf lies, and Dimmit/LaSalle (2310 acres), which is a few counties South-West of the Sugarloaf.
No acreage anywhere near Brioche though.
Apart from Woodbine producton a bit further North-East of Burleson County, it seems like the industry is ignoring that region to a fair extent.
Very interesting offer, don't think anyone expected that before today. However considering the sudden rise in price from 45c to 48c on close, seems some insiders knew what was going on.
Lonestar have over 30,000 Bakken acres so it'd make for an incredibly interesting merge if things were to transpire like that. Considering the apparent size of the companies, if anything were to happen it could be like the prey (EKA) acquiring (well merging) with the predator (Lonestar, which seems to definitely be the bigger company). IMO anyway.
