If some single entity started buying millions of shares on market then everyone would know that something was afoot. By buying up millions of rights at 0.1 c it could,
a) gain a large holding by stealth.
b) not have to decide until the last minute whether to exercise the rights, if they are striving to implement some strategy. (You can't lose much paying 0.1 c as an insurance policy.)
Thus far only 12 M have been bought.
Closing date for payment is 6th Jan.
