I don't see asset values plummetting. Sure they have come off a little but the listed prop sector has priced in doomsday scenarios. The market just doesn't want to pay "fair value" just yet. I'm betting as this reporting season unfolds and we see some clarity then the sector should recover somewhat. Not fully but enough to make a nice trade.

There's alot of itchy trigger fingers out there just waiting for the buy signal in stocks like GPT. Not sure what kind of short position exists in the stock but the bounce higher (if it happens) could be quite sharp.
