Missing.. the posts here indicated that what is missing is some common sense, a view beyond the day traders cash call, and some basic education for the pseudo experts.
C43 waxes lyrical about Magnetotellurics, when the only thing he knows about it is how to spell it.
Big words but a very difficult technology to apply given the very coarse resolution (x,y & z) of the technique and more suited to finding ore bodies or large aquifers then small oil fields. If the oilfields were big any one would have found them by now, there are enough holes in the basin to sort out that arguement.
He raves on about a sections of a basin being oily, when the real issue is not finding oil shows - the canning and associated basins are full of oil shows, but rather a reservoir full of the stuff which is easily exploited.
So what's missing? Common sense.
