Can I ask other HC posters to tell us what they are doing for recycling and climate change.
This what our family is doing:
1. For an $80 cost we have purchased two Bokashi compost tubs converting all our food scraps into liquid fertiliser and residual refuse is buried into the garden to encourage more worms.
2. All plastic packaging from food is now kept aside and returned to the supermarket collection bins.
Just doing these two things has reduced our fortnightly household rubbish by 50%
3. Invested in commercial grade solar farms in our super fund
4. Do not invest in any companies that mine coal or generate electricity from coal.
5. Invest in companies that produce materials for EV batteries
Cheers.......Daicosisgod
I acknowledge the role coal plays in the suite of energy producing assets and acknowledge that coal will deliver electricity to many people for the first time in overseas countries. However there needs to be a long term plan to transition to renewables and Australia is in a unique position to benefit from our abundance of solar energy and our leadership in developing technology harnessing solar power.
