Thats just a TV show. Being a Dr isn't gamorous and often isn't particularly satisfying. Its a factory job that never ends, there are always more customers. When I was training I often worked 100 hours a week plus studying. I was so tired after a weekend I couldn't remember what I'd done. Meals were a coffee break, sleep won over eating and stress and migraine headaches were common... Then there's the vomit, faeces and bodily fluids. Overtime rates were 30% of normal salary and tax rate was 66%. Cleaners and porters were on higher hourly rates. I don't know how we did it.
No short cuts to getting rich Wilba. Just enjoy the small simple pleasures in life, value companionship and take care of family and friends. And accept and let go of the losses and bad luck that are beyond our control.
