Pickering's story differs from the Australian's story, so who is lying?

    The Australian's version -
Blewitt's only recent contacted with Gillard was when she was "DEPUTY LEADER"

    Pickering's version -
Blewitt contacted Gillard when she was "PM".

    Does anyone have an explanation?

    Both cannot be true.

So what else is not correct in the articles????

    The Australian story:-

"..Blewitt told The Australian his only recent contact with Gillard was shortly after she became deputy leader of the Labor Party.

He says he contacted her office to ask her to pursue his "unpaid entitlements" he said he was due when the AWU fired him over the scandal. Her office effectively told him to go away, he says..."

    Pickering:-

"...A peeved Ralph Blewitt, not having been paid his severance pay of $12,000 for many years, wrote to Gillard as PM asking for his money. Gillard’s Office wrote back threatening his arrest by the AFP if he did not go away..."
