This story has so much content and yet you quibble over whether Blewitt made contact when she was deputy or PM? Doesn't mean anyone is lying - both have reported their understanding of that very minor detail.
If someone's house is burning down, would you try to muddy the waters because one reporter said neighbour A called the fire brigade first and another said neighbour B? The important thing is the fire.
If there is anything significantly untrue in these reports, Gillard would surely be vigorously refuting these reports AND likely suing. Don't forget she was a lawyer before a PM.
