No, they are not based on what you assume.
They are based on a valid premise; the sexual organs exist only for reproductive purposes, that is, the survival of the species are dependent on the reason for their existence. Then the pleasure is there so as reason can not be applied by all. Otherwise we wouldn't have reproduction guaranteed.
