I like dogs and am trying to learn about as much about them as possible, especially how they communicate (non-verbally). I admire Newfies (Newfoundlands) for their laid-back personality underlying power and intelligence. Yours looks like a typical beauty. You're rightly proud.

As a joke, some Chinese hecklers were calling Australia the US lapdog. I said the Chow-chow or Shar-pei were more like lapdogs than the extremely intelligent and hard-working Australian Cattle-dog or Australian Shepherd. That shut 'em up.
