Can i also add that these washing machine type devices that you mention, because it was such a tricky task aligning the laser beams on top of the cantilevers it limited them to only have a maximum of 7 or 8 cantilevers therefore limiting their capabilities.
Now what i love the most about our device is we can sense up to 300 cantilevers on a single LumiMEMS reader!
By inventing the LumiMEMS reader it opened up the doors for us in the cantilever department. We could now address the problems with portability and sensing limitations without any compromise to sensitivity.
Now if the LumiMEMS reader does not become the new standard (i doubt that it wont) then the cantilever mems sensing device will!
